General information
On April 21, 2000, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) came into force. This federal law regulates the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 by individuals or organizations under US jurisdiction. According to this act, app administrators must include methods for obtaining parental or guardian consent in their privacy policies and are responsible for protecting children's privacy and safety online, which includes imposing restrictions on marketing.
Information about the user's age must be passed to the SDK with every app launch.
Starting with version 5.4.0, the Yandex Mobile Ads SDK will allow you to restrict data collection from children under the age of 13.
