App moderation

Each app is moderated for compliance with the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network.

Moderation stages and timeframes

  1. After the app is added, it's automatically submitted for moderation. The app will then appear in the Ads in apps section of the Yandex Advertising Network interface. It'll have a unique ID and the status set to Under moderation.

  2. The mobile app moderation process usually takes no more than two days. However, it can take longer in some rare cases.

  3. After moderation is complete, you'll see a message about the results on Notifications tab in the Yandex Advertising Network interface. If the app passes moderation, its status changes to Active.

You can create and place ad units right after adding your app. However, you'll get paid for impressions only if the app passed moderation and has the Active status.

Why might my application to the Yandex Advertising Network be rejected?

Deadline for submitting an application for re-moderation

The app is not available in the store

The store link doesn't lead to the app page or the app was removed from the store.

Make sure the app is available in the store, fix any technical problems, and resubmit it for moderation.

1. Go to Ads in apps → Apps and ad units.

2. Click View next to the desired resource in the list.

3. Click Actions → Send to moderation. The button will be available 1 day after your last rejection.

Violation of advertising unit placement rules

Placement of foreign elements on the ad unit surface of the advertising unit.

Check that your ad unit placement meets the ad unit placement terms and Yandex Direct rules according to the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network.

How do I apply?

1. Go to Ads in apps → Apps and ad units.

2. Click View next to the desired resource in the list.

3. Click Actions → Send to moderation. The button will be available 1 day after your last rejection.

The application doesn't comply with the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network for other reasons

According to the Rules of participation, Yandex reserves the right to reject resources without explanation. For more information on cases where this rule may apply, see the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network.

Review the list of possible inconsistencies and improve the quality of your app.

30 days after rejection.

How do I apply?

1. Go to Ads in apps → Apps and ad units.

2. Click View next to the desired resource in the list.

3. Click Actions → Send to moderation. The button will be available 30 business days after your last rejection.

If moderation reveals violations that Yandex considers critical, Yandex reserves the right to deny the app participation without the possibility of re-moderation (according to the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network).

Warning

In addition to moderating new apps connected to the Yandex Advertising Network, Yandex may also inspect previously added apps. If the check reveals serious violations, the app or partner account may be blocked.

If your app was blocked due to invalid clicks and impressions, but you believe it doesn't violate the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network, submit a request unblock the app. Your app will be reviewed again, though that doesn't guarantee a different outcome.
